The room I stayed in at Hostel Vasantashram Cst Mumbai was absolutely amazing! It had a balcony, allowing me to soak up the gorgeous Mumbai sun and feel the refreshing ocean breeze. The tile/marble floor gave the room a cool and clean feel, and the private entrance added a sense of privacy and convenience. As someone who loves being close to the beach, this room was a dream come true!
The only thing I personally didn't love about the room was the fact that it was a single room. For me, I enjoy having company and would have preferred a twin room with a patio to enjoy the outdoors together.

We were initially worried about the hostel's location, but once we arrived at Vasantashram Cst, we were really surprised. The room and bed werevery comfy and tidy, great to have a good night's sleep. Despite the lack of a real toilet and only having a communal sink and bucket shower, we appreciated the opportunity to experience how other people live. It made us appreciate the nice things we have in life.

Stayed at the oldest hotel, felt like I was going back in time. The hustle and bustle of Mohd Ali Road and Chor Bazaar just a short walk away, great for shopping!
Loved feeling like a time traveler, but the room could definitely use some modern amenities.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the amazing experience at this hostel. Despite our initial worries about the staircase, the room and bed were surprisingly clean and comfortable, allowing us to have a great night's sleep. The simple yet traditional interior design added a touch of charm, with beautiful ink block door handles and wooden panelling. The communal feel of the place, with mostly Indian guests, made us appreciate the opportunity to experience how other people live. The balcony was a jaw-dropping spot to observe the bustling traffic below while feeling a sense of peacefulness above. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the location was superb, offering a diverse range of attractions nearby. The shared bathrooms were always spotless, cleaned multiple times a day, and the water filter was a convenient feature. All in all, this hostel truly captured the spirit of the city, providing excellent value for money and a safe environment for solo travellers.
